Condition Assessment Programme (CAP) for Oil Tankers & Gas Carriers

IR CAP helps to assess the vessel’s (Tanker & Gas Carrier) actual condition rather than age of the vessel to meet the requirements of charterers, ship owners and other interested parties.

CAP Hull is carried out based on assessment of structural conditions of Hull at dry dock through detailed visual surveys, extensive thickness measurement, longitudinal strength, buckling strength calculation & fatigue strength calculation.

CAP Machinery & Cargo System is carried out based on assessment of machinery visual survey, functional testing, analysis of lube oil, vibration measurement, verification of insulation resistance testing, photographic evidence, repairs if Any, etc. Normally Oil Majors/Charterers prefer the CAP RATING 1 or CAP RATING 2 for vessels.

IR CAP complies with the requirements of 51 out of 53 Oil Majors/Charterers around the world & accepted by all Indian Oil Majors. We have already certified more than 300 vessels of different flags.
